Australia Open 1969


The Australia Open 1969 was the first Australia Start and the ultimate Huge Throw competition to allow both beginner and experts. The competition was performed in Queensland on Milton's lawn judges between a gent’s area of 48 and a female’s area of 32. Australia Open 1968


The 1968 Australia Open Competition was a tennis tournament that took place in the outdoor Kooyong Ground in Victoria, Australia from 19 to 29 Jan. It was the 56th edition of the Australia Competition (now known as Australia Open), the Fifteenth held in Victoria, and the first Huge Throw tournament of the season. 
It was also the last Huge Throw tournament to be restricted to beginners. The single men and women titles were won by Australia Bill Bowrey and American Carrie Jean Master. In Gents Singles activities Roy Emerson was the protecting champ but did not contend that season Bill Bowrey won in the ultimate 7–5, 2–6, 9–7 and 6–4 against Juan Gisbert, Sr.  In the Wonen's SinglesNancy Richey was the protecting champ but did not contend that season Carrie Jean Master won in the ultimate 6–1, 6–2 against Maggie Judge.

It was Krantzcke's only Huge Throw headline. It was Melville's 1st Huge Throw headline. 
In the Australia 1968 Mixed events Dick Crealy / Billie Jean King defeated Allan Stone / Margaret Court by Walkover. It was Crealy's 2nd Huge Throw headline. Norman Brookes Challenge Cup


Sir Norman Everard Brookes was born on 14 November 1877 in Melbourne, Australia. Brookes was an Australian tennis title holder and leader of the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia. Brooke’s father was William Brookes who had turn into rich from gold removal in the Bendigo area. 
He established a private education at Melbourne Grammar School. Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup


Daphne Jessie Akhurst was born 22 April 1903 in Ashfield, New South Wales. She was an Australian tennis player. As said by Wallis Myers she was World No. 3 in 1928 championship. Jessie Florence the second daughter of Oscar James Akhurst a lithographer and his wife Daphne Akhurst won the at the Australian Championships five women's singles title in 1925, 1926, 1928, 1929, and 1930. 
She was ranked 3rd on the list of most women's singles titles at the Australian Championships, at the back only Margaret Court with eleven titles and Nancye Wynne Bolton with six titles. She was the champion of the women's doubles honor. At the Australian Championships five times in 1924 and 1925 with Sylvia Lance Harper, in 1928 with Esna Boyd Robertson, and in 1929 and 1931 with Louie Bickerton. 
The Australian Championships In the mixed doubles events she is the four times Championship in 1924 and 1925 at the John Willard, 1928 with Jean Borotra and 1929 Spring Moon. She was Vice-UPS 1926 and Willard He and his partner Jack Crawford reached the mixed doubles final of Wimbledon in 1928, but the team lost to Elizabeth Ryan / Patrick Spence, 7-5, 6-4. 26th February 1930 in the St. Philip Church of England, Sydney, Daphne Akhurst married Royston Stuckey Cozens, a cigarette manufacturer, and retired from serious competition after winning the Australian Ladies' doubles championship in 1931. 
They had one son. Daphne Akhurst Cozens died on 9 January 1933 from an ectopic pregnancy and was cremated. The cup presented to the winner of the women's singles at the Australian Open is named the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup in her honor every year. Australian Open & Melbourne Park


Australian Open is the main event in the history of Australian. Melbourne Park is a sports venue specially Tennis in the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment division in Melbourne Victoria, Australia.
